Niaron Ltd. are a multi-disciplinary civil engineering and utilities contractor operating nationwide in the public and private sector with offices located in Limerick and Ashbourne, Co. Meath. We have several long-standing clients providing repeat business and we have experienced significant growth in the past 5 years, we are looking to recruit a number of Graduate Site Engineers Nationwide. This is a fantastic opportunity for soon to be or recently qualified engineers to join an exceptional business.
The Role
The Graduate Site Engineer role reporting to the Project Manager (PM) will be based on one of our sites in your chosen region where you will benefit from our mentoring programme. The Graduate Site Engineer will be responsible for assisting our Site Engineer and PM with all aspects of their role which includes strict management of all health, safety, environment and quality (HSEQ) procedures and day to day management of the project.
As a Graduate Site Engineer you will obtain an excellent knowledge and understanding of civil engineering and utility operations including an understanding of the electrical network. The role will involve an initial assessment of assigned tasks, planning the works with the site team including assisting with scheduling crews and construction of the works.
The duties of the Graduate Site Engineer will include: :
- Ensuring compliance with the HSEQ requirements for every site operation.
- Undertake tasks relating to safety, setting out and recording of resources.
- Review project drawings and specifications for all works being delivered by our inhouse teams.
- Assist with the sustainability procurement policy of the business.
- Keeping detailed records.
- Working with sub‐contractors and suppliers.
- Dealing effectively with challenges within the site crews.
- Assisting site personnel and upward liaison with the site engineer and PM.

Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
- Good knowledge of HSEQ requirements.
- Ability to interpret site information such as drawings and specifications.
- Ability to communicate with peers both written and verbal.
- Willing to work as part of a team.
- Some previous experience of civil engineering or utilities business.
- Enjoys the requirement to work in the outdoor environment.
- Some experience in a site role.

- Manual Handling
- Full Clean Driving licence - Training required but not essential:
- Sign, Lighting & Guarding at Roadworks.
- Location of Underground Services.
