The Foynes Port Jetty project nominated for the Infrastructure Category in the 42nd Annual Concrete Awards

The Foynes Port Jetty project constructed by Niaron Limited has been nominated by the Irish Concrete Society in the Infrastructure Category for the 42nd Annual Awards taking place 29th March 2025 at the Clayton Hotel Burlington Road.

This important piece of maritime infrastructure was constructed by Niaron Limited on behalf of our valued client Shannon Foynes Port using an innovate design by RPS UK & Ireland, on-site production of all precast elements incorporating concrete supplied by Roadstone Ltd. and reinforcement by Chadwicks Group ensured a sustainable and innovative delivery of this complex project.

We are looking forward to attending the awards and we wish everyone well in the various different categories.

To facilitate the connection of the Celtic Interconnector to the National Grid, our Stations Team at Niaron Limited working on behalf of the ESB successfully completed an 800 cubic metre concrete pour in less than 12 hours to the 4 bay 400kV transformer bund base this week.

A massive well done to our Stations Team and the ESB 's Project Delivery Team achieving this major milestone for the overall Interconnector project, an important part of Ireland’s long-term energy strategy. We want to thank Roadstone Ltd. and CGA Concrete Pumping for their excellent service on the day.

Niaron Ltd. are delighted to announce we have once again retained Platinum Contractor Safety Grade from ESB Networks. This fantastic achievement is again reflective of the continuous safe operation of our crews working alongside ESB Networks nationwide while successfully implementing our integrated management system.

A massive congratulations to our entire dedicated team in Niaron Ltd. who have worked so hard to retain this grading and to ESB Networks for renewing the Platinum Contractor Safety Grade Award.

Another successful project delivery for our valued clients at Irish Cement Limited.

The Niaron Limited site team did a great job on the MBM Silos project which involved a high degree of coordination with our fellow colleagues O'Dwyer Steel, Tusker, Electrical Rewind Services (ERS) - Electrical Contracting Division , Curtin Scaffolding and Europiping Engineering Ltd.

This project will allow Irish Cement to further reduce fossil fuel use in the Limerick cement kiln.

The team at Niaron Limited were delighted to be part of Irish Port Safety week at Foynes port throughout the week with our team taking part in a number of specially organised events. A very special thanks to our HSEQ team for the presentation on the hazards associated with Working at Height and the Health and Safety Authority who attended with an extremely informative workshop on the hazards of working in a port environment. It was privilege to be invited by Shannon Foynes Port to participate and we are already looking forward to taking part again next year.
